Dear Dmitry,

It’s great that you raised a million dollars to do this. What exactly is it that you guys do? All I see is talk about needing an alternative to Facebook. Seems like an absurd way to premise a business model.

Best,

Julian

If you’re going to do an affiliate program of some type to spread the word, and you have a decent affiliate model, I’m in.

Hi there

Happy to find an alternative wo evil FB.
I also have a FB account.. and i hate it..
may i make some suggestions..?:
FB is evil, and wont let you go.

Please let the people “CANCEL” their account. (fb only blocks)
Fan pages.. total desaster… i have a fanpage as photographer with a friend.. and building it up is horrible on FB…. and hard to use with 2 accounts.. since you have to connect it to a normal personal account… but if you have 2 people using it.. you dont want to receive his personal messages….
please do not connect the fan accounts like FB does.

Cant wait for you guys to start.
Cheers Corvin

I want to congratulate you guys on this amazing adventure that you have taken upon yourselves for our benefit. I have such a great interest in this project of yours as yes I am totally bored with these kinds of Social Networks example FB. It reminds me of a spruced up Usenet with constant updates.

Ok so I go back to the days before the Internet when there were bulletin boards so I know how things evolved online. What would be truly amazing if people could create personal groups/pages on their profile and not for the whole Internet at large to join but for just their personal contacts to share information with.

The Internet is already too cluttered with useless spam from the likes of Twitter and other such gigo sites. The only people who follow you on there are marketers who use bot software to auto follow you. Now FB is rolling out this same gigo oh please save us Altly!

Glad you’re doing this. You’ve really got to change the name though before you launch.

Can’t wait to see what you’ve got. Any rough idea of when a beta might be available? Good luck, I wish you much success! :)

It’s the second time in the last years I’ve deleted all my profile content on facebook.

Social networks are very useful and powerful and has to remain opened without censorship.

I believe an ideal model would be an open platform, decentralized like p2p and encrypted.

If you succeed at bringing key elements to your platform, you will do just like Android is doing to the iPhone.

One suggestion: it would be nice to have an education field, to enter schools, etc.
Keep up the good work.
